There is a new gold vacation business starting up in Nederland, CO! Gold N’ Getaways, LLC does day and overnight trips in the Colorado mountains where you can learn to pan, sluice, or dredge for gold. You’re going to need reservations, though. Check out our page for more info.

I found a new gold location in Jamestown, CA. It looks like they are set up for novices and more seasoned prospectors as well. They give classes with equipment, or you can pay-to-play at their location if you already now what you’re doing. Find out more HERE.
There’s tons of stuff to do at the Chicken Gold Camp and Outpost in Chicken, Alaska. Guests staying at the Chicken Gold Camp can pan or mine on all of our nearby claims for a daily fee. They allow use of pans, metal detectors, hand sluices, small suction dredges and high bankers (2.5″ max). Their rates are nominal, and you get to keep everything you find! They have had many 1oz nuggets found on their claims. Get you summer plans ready, it’s going to be a busy year in Alaska!
Ok, this one is a little different but sounds very cool. It’s called Gold Adventures LLC. Retired Air Force Colonel, Randy, will let you use his equipment; and will guide and instruct you for 1/2 to full day excursions. What?! Yeah, I know. Pretty dang cool. His prices are way crazy cheap, so be sure to book your summer trip quick before he fills up!
I stumbled across another Alaska prospecting vacation adventure. It’s called Crow Creek Gold Mine. This one sounds awesome! They teach you how to do everything: pan, high-bank, sluice, dredge, and even metal detect. They’re just a few miles outside of Gridwood, AK which makes accommodations easy.
