The AMRA (American Mining Rights Association) is having another fun and exciting outing! Free and open to the public.

Bring your friends and family! New to prospecting or curious? Let them know and they will teach you how to find gold in the desert. You keep all the gold you find!

Free camping at Slash X’s RV-friendly dry camping property or just visit for the day!

Bring everything you’ll need to have a great weekend of fun and fellowship. All claims access have been generously donated for the AMRA outing to raise funds by Route 66, Temecula Valley, High Desert Gold Diggers, and The Outlaw Prospectors for this weekend only and all the gold you find is yours to keep.

The York County Department of Parks and Recreation is proud to sponsor a “Panning for Gold” program in Spring Valley County Park, North Hopewell Township. The program is scheduled from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30th at the parking area at the intersection of Potosi Road Extd. and Line Road.

This is the only day of the year panning for gold is permitted in any York County parks.

This event is open to the public and there is no fee or pre-registration required. To participate in the program, please bring the following:

• Shoes that can get wet and dirty (Footwear is required – no open-toed shoes)
• Old Clothing – you may get wet
• A gold pan and classifier (No Glass)
• A small container for the gold

Gold Panning in Arizona!

apachetrailI found this really cool trip to go gold panning, Apache Trail Tours. First they take you on a 4×4 tour of the dessert, then  they teach you to pan for gold! It sounds like they have some very cool tours, besides panning. If your in the Phoenix area, I would definitely try this out. I think I might book a tour next time I’m in town for apachetrail_goldfingera convention.

New Gold adventure in Colorado!

It’s called Gold Adventures LLC.  Retired Air Force Colonel, Randy, will let you use his equipment; and will guide and instruct you for 1/2 to full day excursions. What?! Yeah, I know. Pretty dang cool. His prices are way crazy cheap, so be sure to book your summer trip quick before he fills up!

NEPA - bruins-nuggetWhat!? East Coast?? Yeah, over in New England Jim and his buddies are teaching classes on how to pan and sluice for gold. And look at the size of the nuggets. Pretty good, if you ask me. I would love to see that in my pan!

They’re taking booking for next season, so be sure to reserve your spot early. I think I might have to take an East Coast trip next summer. Visit my daughter in Minnesota, and swing  on by New England for some GOLD!
